I have found a government petition that hasn't had much promotion and it needs to get 200 signatures by 21/08/09 to be put forward to government officials, at the moment it has 121.
Please could you sign this petition to help end live animal skinning in China, it would be a shame for it not to reach its target.
The link is http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/ChineseCruelty/
Thank you very much!!

Advent Calenders

We’ve all had them, we can see piles and piles of them in the shops. A thin card sleeve with this season’s popular film characters on and inside that a moulded plastic tray meant to hold tiny slivers of poor quality chocolate that all fall out and lurk at the bottom of the box.

My kids love them. They love the idea of a countdown to Christmas, a small gift or treat each day leading up to the big event. Of course they’ve been seduced by modern commercialism and in previous years they’ve had thos… Continue

Thoughts on Operation Ebook Drop

I used to be someone who thought that violence solves nothing and that most of the warzones in the world are unnecessary and assorted western countries have no right to send troops into less developed countries and we have no right to impose our democracy on anyone. Want a freebie?

I have sitting on my desk an Indigo Essences Sleep Easy candle in need of a home.

Would you like it?

Then place an order over £10 with Ethics Trading and tell me you want it in the order comments space. I’ll pop the candle into the next order that meets those criteria. Simple as that.

Will it be you?

Online shopping

I’ve used a few different shopping systems on Ethics Trading, from the simplest paypal buttons through to the fully integrated cubecart. I like the full systems with all the bells and whistles on, but they tend to be a bit clunky for customers, especially at the part where you have to register and some even make you wait while your registration is verified before you can buy anything.

So, although the various free, straight out of the box,… Continue

Squidoo

Anyone else found squidoo yet? I discovered it as a networking, information based site about a year or so ago and I really didn’t like it. It was slow, not intuitive and the help pages were no help at all. So I abandoned my account and ignored it.

Until now.

This week I’ve revisited Squidoo and updated some of my pages on there – Squidoo calls them lenses. You can see them here: http://www.squidoo.com/lensmasters/SarahBaContinue

Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can. -- John Wesley, "Letters of John Wesley"

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centres of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. -- Robert F. Kennedy
