We all get used to seeing the "think before you print" tag at the end of emails but sometimes things really do need to be printed!
There's no need to take a guilt trip, because there are lots of ways to lessen the environmental impact (and financial cost!) of churning out those precious paper pages... here's my advice:
1. Think first! And if you must print....
2. Printing both sides saves twice as much paper (duplex)
3. Double up (more than 1 page per sheet/side)
4. Use "draft" or "fast" mode - this uses a lot less ink
5. Print preview - see what it will look like, you may not need to print all the pages
6. Use post-consumer recycled, chlorine free paper
7. Re-use paper such as letters, and print on the back for non-important documents
8. Use re-manufactured / recycled toners
9. Recycle your empties
10. Turn the printer off when you don't need it
